Chairman's Corner

To all members of the Southeastern Region 555th Parachute Infantry Association, your participation in our Annual Assembly in Jacksonville, Florida, from October 9–12, 2025, made the event a truly inspiring and resounding success. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended and helped create an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared purpose.
This assembly would not have been possible without the tireless dedication of our Executive Committee. We want to express our sincerest thanks to our elected officers, committee chairs, and every volunteer for their hard work and determination throughout the year. Your efforts in managing the important work of our region ensure that the Triple Nickles' legacy remains strong and vibrant.
We are also proud to officially recognize and welcome our two newest chapters to the Southeastern Region: The Abe Turner Chapter from Columbia, South Carolina, and the J.J. Corbett Chapter from Barstow, Florida. The growth of our region is a testament to our shared mission, and we are excited to see the impact these new chapters will have.
Be a Recruiter, Strengthen Our Legacy
Growing our region is a collective effort, and every member is a vital recruiter. We ask you to continue reaching out to fellow Veterans and community members who share our vision of promoting the history and legacy of the Triple Nickles. For those potential Troopers who may not be near an existing chapter, our bylaws allow them to join as a Member-at-Large. Your personal stories and connections are the most powerful tools we have for building our association.
Looking Ahead: A Year of Opportunity
The coming year will be a busy one, including the election of new officers before our next assembly. We ask for your continued participation and volunteering at the regional level, whether for an elected position, a committee, or an appointed role.
To maintain our best practices and stay connected, we are always looking to incorporate the latest technology. If you are a "techie" with an interest in helping us leverage new technology, please reach out to myself, Vice-Chair Trooper Dodd, or Operations Officer Trooper Dean. Your expertise can help us enhance communication and collaboration across the region.
Each of our chapters hosts unique activities throughout the year. We are adding a calendar feature to our website to increase awareness of these events. We encourage all members to support these gatherings, as they provide an excellent opportunity to fellowship and bond with sister chapters and fellow Troopers.
Consider Your Philanthropic Gifts
Finally, please consider supporting the Southeastern Region 555th Parachute Infantry Association through your philanthropic gifts. Your gifts of time, talent, and monetary donations help us carry out our mission. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your donations are tax-deductible. Your generosity directly contributes to preserving our history and supporting our members.
Thank you again for an unforgettable Annual Assembly. Airborne, All the Way!
Sincerely,
" Airborne "
Joseph Shaw Jr
